Logo Design
Requirements
1. Name of the company (I know it sounds obvious to you, but I have had people contacting me to design a logo without having a name for their company yet!)
2. Symbol: not mandatory but if you know you want your logo to have a shield or a dog for example, please let me know.
3. At least one of the following:
- samples of logos you like or dislike
- ideas you want your logo to convey: honesty, strength, reliability, etc.
- style of the logo: formal, whimsical, minimalist, classic, modern, etc.
4. Colors: not mandatory but if you already know the color scheme you want to use it will save us time.
5. Initial deposit: I request an initial deposit of 50% to start working on your logo.
Process
1. I send you an initial set of 6 logos.
2. You send me your feedback.
3. If the initial approach is not what you have in mind I will create a new set. Or I tweak the ones you like, prepare color variations and send a second set of 6.
4. We repeat steps 1 to 3 until we are down to the one you like.
5. I make the final touches, final color changes and any other tweak.
6. You approve the logo.
7. I send you the files after receiving the final payment.
Timeline
The time to design a logo depends on how fast we communicate as I depend on your feedback to create each new set. Samples are usually sent within 1 - 2 business days after receiving the initial briefing or the feedback. As an average, logo designs are ready within 2 weeks.
Deliverables
I work with Adobe Illustrator. The final source file will be an EPS. I can provide JPG and PNG for documents, emails and powerpoint presentations, PDF and EPS for professional printing and any other image format you may need. If required, a version of the logo in black and white can also be provided with no extra cost.
